Park Regis Birmingham celebrates 10-year anniversary with record performance

Switch Management Ltd has reported a record year of revenue at Park Regis Birmingham, as the flagship hotel celebrates its 10-year anniversary.

The specialist hospitality manager has reported record results for Park Regis over the past 12 months – marking a decade of success in the city centre.

In 2025, the hotel delivered its highest ever annual RevPAR (revenue per available room) performance, with 3.9% market share growth. While competitor occupancy fell 1.2%, Park Regis’ grew by 5.1%.

That momentum has continued into 2026, with the hotel achieving its highest monthly RevPAR performance in June. This represents a 20.3% year-on-year increase – more than twice the growth of competitors over the equivalent period.

Park Regis has also seen continued success as a leading meetings, conference and events venue. Room hire in 2026 is currently tracking +10% YOY, with average meeting revenue per delegate +13% YOY. Today, Park Regis hosts around 80 events a month and welcomes 75,000 delegates each year.

Since opening in 2016, Park Regis has become an important addition to the city’s growing hospitality scene, securing industry recognition as well as consistently positive reviews from visitors and clients.

In 2022, it played a pivotal role in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, as the only hotel in the city to host competing athletes and international delegates during the competition. The partnership delivered over £1.5million in revenue, representing the hotel’s largest contracted event.

More recently, Park Regis welcomed teams competing in the European Athletics Championships 2026 – reaffirming its position as Birmingham’s hotel of choice for high-profile events.

John Angus, Managing Director of Switch Management Ltd, said:

As the first hotel in our management portfolio, Park Regis is where it all began for Switch. A decade on, and this year’s results evidence how we continue to pull ahead of the local hotel market, thanks to the investment we’ve made in our people, as much as the property itself.

Park Regis has become a blueprint for the way we approach every asset within the group, from our commercial strategy, to the way we develop talent. With a portfolio that now spans Birmingham, Bournemouth and beyond, the hotel’s continued success remains proof of our strong asset management capabilities, as we continue to deliver stand-out results for clients, and provide outstanding service to every guest.

To mark a decade of success at Park Regis, Switch hosted a special celebration event on 4 September for the hotel’s employees, partners, and clients.

Alongside Park Regis Birmingham, Switch’s portfolio includes a number of hospitality assets across the Midlands, including the four-star aparthotel Birmingham and Holiday Inn Express Birmingham. In 2025/26, the group also purchased two hotels in Bournemouth – The Queens Hotel & Spa and Ibis Styles.
