Switch Management grows Bournemouth Portfolio with IBIS Styles Hotel purchase

Switch Management Ltd has acquired Ibis Styles Hotel Bournemouth from Coast Hotels and Leisure Limited in a multi-million pound deal.

The purchase marks the company’s second hotel acquisition in Bournemouth, and follows its recent £2million refurbishment of The Queens Hotel & Spa, as the asset management company strengthens its presence on the south coast.

The new ownership also safeguards the jobs of the hotel’s 30 employees, who will transfer to Switch Management as part of the deal.

Located on East Cliff, Ibis Styles is within short walking distance of the town’s Blue Flag beaches and Bournemouth pier, providing guests with convenient access to the coastline, visitor attractions and town centre amenities.

The hotel features 78 recently refurbished guest bedrooms across a variety of accommodation types at a budget price point. Facilities include a lounge, restaurant and bar, making it suitable for both leisure and business travellers.

Switch Management Ltd plans to continue investing in the property, which will continue to operate under the Ibis brand. The immediate priority is to stablise the hotel and enhance its existing services to ensure it meet guests’ expectations.

Alongside The Queens Hotel & Spa and Ibis Styles in Bournemouth, the business currently manages a number of hospitality assets across the Midlands, including Park Regis Birmingham, the city’s only major independent hotel, and the four-star aparthotel Birmingham.
